The Design Your Own Building program provides a scaled drawing of what your building will look like. When designing your building, first choose the building size. The listed sizes are not the only sizes possible, but they are the standard sizes. Note that for all widths greater than 8', a special permit is required to transport the buildings.
After choosing a building size, a general layout will be displayed. Drag and drop doors, windows, sign plates, and other icons onto the building outline. Note that doors and windows cannot be put onto the left and right sides of a building and rox blocks, purge inlets, and cable boxes are not available when designing the front and back sides of the building. To remove a drag and drop item from a location, simply click on the item and it will disappear.
You may add optional features, such as skids and air conditioning. These objects appear in certain locations in the drawing. Simply click on the feature desired. Sometimes, selecting one feature enables other available features, just as deselecting that feature may take away some options available.
In order that we may contact you in regards to your design, enter your contact information, such as your name and email address, on the "Choose a Side" form. We cannot process orders without this information. Required information will be marked with a red asterisk (*).
When you have finished entering in all of the information and you are satisfied with your design, click the Submit button. You can return to a previous screen by pressing the "Back" button on any screen except the first. Thus you can choose another building type, size, and building side for designing. Information is saved based on the chosen building type and size, so if you change either of these once you have begun designing, you will lose any configurations you had made for your previous type and size combination. These configurations will be lost when you save a side design. When you submit, an email will be sent to OIUSA and you will be contacted after your design has been evaluated.
You may upload a company logo, which will be printed on your signplate, if you wish. Note that you will need to upload the logo before you submit your design.
