The ROP/Gas is a Microsoft Windows based program that allows users to monitor parameters such as ROP, Gas, Hole Depth, Bit Depth, Lag Depth, Hook Load, up to 3 Pump Stroke Counters, up to 3 Strokes Per Minute, Total Strokes, Total Strokes Per Minute, and String Speed without the expense of a full monitoring system.

Data is presented in both numeric and graphical formats. The text is large for easy reading, and the graphs are easy to understand and adjust. The ROP/Gas system utilizes the Drill-Gas 1000 Total Gas Detection System and comes with a laptop to run the OI-USA office software. This system also includes a printer for printing reports and data logs.
